ANNOUNCING THE SILVER NUGGET FIGHT CLUB

First Fight Night: Tuesday, September 30, 2008

Originally built in 1964, the Silver Nugget Casino at 2140 N. Las Vegas Boulevard , has survived the dynamic transformation of the Las Vegas Valley around it. While the original structure housing the bulk of the property's 360 slot machines and five blackjack tables remains, the casino was expanded in the early 1990s with the addition of 26 bowling lanes and the Silver Nugget Event Center. Since its opening, the Event Center has hosted a wide variety of events, including professional music concerts, wrestling, tough-man contests, as well as many live and pay per view boxing events. Completely renovated in 2007, the Silver Nugget event center is also available for private parties.

It has been more than a decade since the Silver Nugget has played host to professional boxing. When Jeff Fine purchased the property in early 2007, he decided it was time to better utilize this terrific event venue and resurrect the sweet science in North Las Vegas . The Silver Nugget is excited to launch this new era in its history by announcing the launch of the Silver Nugget Fight Club. Joining forces with legendary boxing figure Richard Steele, the Silver Nugget plans on holding fights on a monthly basis beginning on September 30, 2008.

With ticket prices starting at just $20, fights at the Silver Nugget will be accessible to all fans of boxing. On September 30, 2008, event center doors will open at 6 p.m., with the first fight to begin at 7 p.m. The card will feature five bouts. Special VIP GOLD seating is available for just $30.
